Privacy policy
DiversiValue ("we," "us") operates diversivalue.com. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you provide. If you choose to unlock the detailed comparison, we collect your email address, your age bracket, and the percentile range your entry falls in. The dollar amount you type into the calculator is used only in your browser to show your results — we do not receive or store it.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser information.
- Local storage. We use your browser's local storage to remember that you've unlocked the comparison. This stays on your device and is not a tracking cookie.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited, for how long, and from what kind of device and approximate (city-level) location. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device identifiers and IP addresses on our behalf.
How we use it
- To show you the comparison you requested.
- To send you the emails you agreed to receive when you signed up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To operate and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising trackers. Analytics data is used only to understand and improve the site.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the site, and only for that purpose: Netlify (website hosting and form processing), Google (analytics, as described above), and, when we send email, our email service provider. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep your information while you remain subscribed or as needed to operate the site, and delete it on request.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message.
- Access or delete your information by emailing privacy@diversivalue.com. We'll respond to verified requests within 30 days.
- Opt out of analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals; the site does not currently respond to them. You can limit analytics collection using the opt-out options above.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
